Patricia Lincoln
Tricia is Counsel in the Private Client Department at the firm’s Boca Raton office, where she specializes in estate planning, trust and estate administration, and probate litigation. She adeptly handles complex wealth disputes and represents clients in high-stakes matters involving the distribution and management of significant estates and trusts.
Tricia’s estate planning practice offers tailored solutions for high-net-worth individuals and families on managing their wealth and navigating estate, tax, and gift planning complexities. She addresses both long-term planning and tax implications of wealth transfer.
In probate litigation, Tricia leverages her extensive experience representing clients in estate and trust disputes, working with executors, trustees, and beneficiaries to resolve conflicts related to will contests, guardianship matters, conservatorship issues, and fiduciary duties. She protects clients’ interests through litigation or alternative dispute resolution, handling cases involving will and trust validity, undue influence, fraud, and more.
Tricia’s strategic approach, combined with her understanding of both legal and emotional aspects of wealth disputes, guides clients through contentious situations with sensitivity, safeguarding their rights and financial interests. Whether representing individuals in contested inheritance cases or advising fiduciaries on navigating difficult family dynamics, Tricia is committed to delivering effective solutions and preserving relationships whenever possible.
In addition to her legal practice, Tricia has been a Professor in the CFP Executive Program at Oakland University since 2018, where she teaches Estate Planning and Advanced Case Study. She also contributes to the curriculum team at Advanced Planning Educational Group, Inc. (APEG), focusing on foundations of financial planning and estate planning.
Prior to joining Wiggin and Dana, Tricia was counsel at Dentons in the Wealth Preservation Group. She earned her B.A. from the University of Missouri—Kansas City and her J.D. and LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Missouri—Kansas City School of Law.
